Orpheum Honor

The Friends of the Orpheum have placed a brick honoring Pete Knobloch in the Avenue of Stars courtyard outside of the Orpheum Theatre.

Pete, who passed away in February of this year, helped maintain the chapter's Wurlitzer Pipe Organ in the Orpheum Theatre for over a decade.  He devised a remote control system that enabled Friends of the Orpheum docents demonstrate the organ as part their regular tours of the theatre thus exposing the public to this wonderful musical resource.

Our thanks to the Friends of the Orpheum for this kind remembrance of Pete.  He would have been honored.

Thank you Friends of the Orpheum for your kindness in honoring Pete in more than just our memories. He will be remembered for all he contributed to our listening (and sometimes playing) experiences. He was a friend to many. 'Smiling Pete' will be a bright and happy thought in our minds for years to come.
