Regrettably, due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, and the uncertainty surrounding it, we believe it prudent to cancel our Silent Sundays programs until the Fall of 2022. The Friends of the Orpheum have placed a brick honoring Pete Knobloch in the Avenue of Stars courtyard outside of the Orpheum Theatre.
Seeing the Phoenix Boy's Choir perform is always a treat, but the audience at their April 23rd Spring Pops Concert had the additional pleasure of hearing the Phoenix Orpheum Organ accompanying them.
Last summer, the estate of Bill Brown donated many of Bill's organ related photos and documents to our chapter.
The Bad News is that the Orpheum Organ is still awaiting the installation of its new blower and is silent.
The membership meeting that was tentatively scheduled for Sunday September 18th has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
